¿ How to act on a Task ?

From the Sytex team we constantly think of ways to optimize projects and teamwork.
For this reason, we base our approach on solving repetitive tasks, promoting work in stages and separating processes into different teams.

How to see my tasks?

The task panel allows us to have a macro view of all the tasks that may interfere with us. For this, on the Sytex main screen we have a dashboard based on a  Kanban-style panel  that allows us, through the task widget, to see the most important details of them, such as their status, and with a single click we can access to the complete information of each one.

Here we show you the widget:
Once inside the task panel you will find a screen like the following. Where you can apply different filters where it is boxed as well as add more filters from the expandable menu.

This visualization allows you to have a general view of all the tasks assigned to your user separated by their status On this screen you will be able to observe all the active tasks assigned to your user, if this depends on a previous task and it is not yet completed no is displayed on this screen.

This view can be modified from the "Display Mode" button located in the upper right corner of this screen.

What do I have to do with the open task?

See description

When we enter an "Open" task, we can see the main description in the center of it, where we can find important information or instructions. You will also find a task menu on the left margin, as well as a discussion board where you can post messages for future interactions.

Put in process

When starting work with a task we must change the status to "In progress or In Progress". To do this, in the upper right margin we have a status indicator that is actionable, clicking on it displays the possible status for that task.

Complete custom fields or required documents

Some tasks may have additional fields, which are also displayed on the main screen of the task. These fields may have various input methods such as Yes/No, Options, Text and Date that may be required to advance the task to a future state.

Tasks can also have required documents, which are, as the name implies, mandatory requirements to proceed with the task. These can be various types of objects and require a specific status (approved, submitted, in process, etc.)

Also in the left menu of the task you can find the "Files" section where you can upload necessary or requested documentation. From here you will be able to upload, download or modify the files depending on your permissions.

State changes

The tasks have states, in addition to the initial state "Open or Open" and "In progress or In progress" they also have the states Completed, Completed with Pending and Cancelled. They also have a status "On Hold" of If it is necessary to indicate a situation that prevents progress, they also have the "Stoppers" object that can be added to the task from the general view using the "+" button.
