Get Started with Materials
Add the Materials module to your project without the hassle. Learn the basic setup that gives you stock traceability and tracking.
Follow this step-by-step for the initial setup
1. Create your material catalog
Load a list of every material you need. You can assign a custom code to each one to keep your own format; otherwise, the system generates one automatically:
Decide upfront whether you'll use serialized or non-serialized material, since the object's behavior varies slightly depending on this setting.
The import tool lets you build the whole catalog easily and in bulk.
2. Create your virtual warehouses
Go to Settings → Warehouse → Virtual warehouses and click + Add virtual warehouse. You only need to enter a name; when you click Save, your warehouse is created.
You can also add your own code or its address — it helps avoid confusion when using or searching for them in the system.
3. Bring in stock for the first time
Use the Input material operation to bring in new materials. This activity type is unique in that it only has a destination (a Warehouse) and no source.

Or add items in bulk, from the import tool, into a material operation you already created:
4. Stock movements
Use the Material operation activity in its different variants to move equipment, antennas, spare parts, cables, and more between a source and a destination.
For both Source and Destination, you can choose from:
- Virtual warehouse
- Supplier
- Company staff
- Field/supplier technician
- Site, Network Element, or Client
