Material operation templates
Material operation templates let you standardize how each type of movement behaves, so every operation you create starts ready and consistent.
Go to Templates → Material operations, from the "My templates" left menu or from Settings, to find or create material operation models:
A template lets you standardize each type of movement: you define the source, destination, status flow, project, mandatory evidence, and even preloaded materials once.
You can pre-configure:
- Operation type (Input, Movement, Site inventory, etc.).
- Source and Destination location (Site, Client, Supplier, Warehouse, etc.).
- Status flow — define the type and name of each step the operation goes through until completion.
- Project the operation is linked to.
- Mandatory evidence that must be attached to move forward.
- Preloaded materials — the items that appear automatically when you create the operation.
Preloaded materials and kits
There are two ways to add materials to an operation quickly, and it's worth keeping them apart:
- Template preload: the materials are defined in the template and load automatically when you create the operation.
- Material kit: groups frequently used materials and quantities so you can add them all at once when you need them, instead of one by one. It's a reusable, quick-select helper.
The key difference: the template preload is automatic; the kit is added on demand, when the user chooses it.
Allowed and blocked materials
You can also control which materials can be selected in the operation:
- Allowed: only the materials in the list can be selected.
- Blocked: specific materials are blocked, and the rest of the catalog stays available.
- No restrictions: any available material can be selected.
