When a task is ready to start, an approval needs your decision, or someone mentions you, Sytex brings those updates into one inbox. You can see what changed and act without checking every task or form separately.
Select in the side menu.
Check the badge to see how many notifications are unread.
Select a notification to view the related task, form, or other item in the same window.
Double-click it to open the item in a separate window.
The list updates as new notifications arrive without making you lose your place. When several related updates happen close together, Sytex may group them into one row. Expand the group to review each item.
Use the quick filters to see all notifications or focus on:
- Assignments.
- Mentions.
- Approvals.
- Tasks that are ready to start.
- Imports.
Under , you can show snoozed notifications, include read notifications, and show unread notifications first. Sytex remembers these settings on the device where you configure them.
For each notification, you can:
- Mark it as read or unread.
- Snooze it for one hour, until this afternoon, until tomorrow, until next week, or until a specific date.
- Delete it when you no longer need it.
- Open its preferences and mute notifications from that template, when available.
The inbox menu also lets you mark all notifications as read, delete all, or delete all read notifications. After snoozing or deleting a notification, you have a few seconds to undo the action.
Notifications are deleted automatically after 180 days. Notifications older than 30 days are marked as read.
Open from the inbox menu. You can turn each category on or off for each channel:
- appears in the Notification center.
- arrives as a push notification on your mobile device.
- arrives in your email inbox.
Preferences are saved per organization. If you work in more than one, configure them separately.
You can also choose which task and form status changes reach you. Approval requests are not affected by this filter. Your organization decides which channels are available; your personal preferences can reduce what you receive, but cannot enable a channel disabled by the organization.
Select the bell icon inside a task, form, or other supported item to follow or unfollow it. Sytex notifies you about relevant changes according to your preferences.
For some templates, administrators can configure automatic following by position, role, or person. The avatars next to the bell show who follows the item.
Sytex sends this notification when the last task blocking a task you follow is completed. You know that work can begin without checking its dependencies manually.
Check the filters, turn on or , and confirm the preferences for the organization you are currently working in.
Check that the channel is enabled in your general preferences and, when applicable, in the template preferences. Your organization must also make that channel available.
