The Knowledge Base is where everything your team needs to know lives: procedures, how-tos, checklists, client agreements and project documentation.
All inside Sytex, right next to the operation. No more PDFs sent by email, scattered spreadsheets or answers only one person knows.
Unlike a traditional wiki, pages connect to the tasks, forms, projects and sites of your operation, and stay up to date on their own.
How to open it
Go to the main menu → Knowledge Base.

Spaces and pages
Documentation is organised in spaces, and inside each space in pages.
Spaces: they define who sees what. They can belong to the organisation, to a workspace, or be private.
Nested pages: create pages inside pages, as many levels as you need.
Order: drag and drop to reorder the tree.
Icons and favourites: give each page an icon and star the ones you use every day.
Create your first page
Pick the space where you want to store it (organisation, workspace or private).
Create the page, give it a title and an icon.
Start writing: it saves itself.

Other knowledge base pages
Mentions stay linked and always current: they are not pasted text, they point to the real object.
A page can also be linked to a client. Those links show up in the client window too, under the Knowledge Base tab.

Working as a team
Simultaneous editing: several people can write on the same page at the same time.
Comments on the text: select a fragment and leave a comment anchored to it.
Automatic saving: nothing gets lost and no one has to lock the document.
Search
Search covers the content of your pages and the inside of attached files (PDFs, spreadsheets).
Search is semantic: you find what you were looking for even if you don't remember the exact words.
Use favourites and quick find to jump back in one click to what you check most often.
Alfred reads it too
Alfred looks into the Knowledge Base when you ask. Type “what is the installation procedure?” and it answers with your company's own documentation, citing the page it took the answer from.
Alfred respects each user's permissions: it can only read the pages that person could already see.
Get started in 2 minutes
Open Knowledge Base from the main menu.
Create a page, give it an icon and try the “/” command.
Invite your team: they can edit the same page at the same time.
FAQs
Who can see what I write? It depends on the space where you create the page: in the organisation space the whole team sees it, in a workspace only its members, and in a private space only you and the people you share it with.
Can I upload files? Yes. PDFs, spreadsheets and images are uploaded to the page and displayed inline, without downloading them.
What happens if two people edit the same page at once? Nothing: editing is simultaneous and both sets of changes are saved.
Can I move a page? Yes, by dragging it within the page tree. It takes its child pages with it.
