NE´s Massive Edition

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to quickly create multiple network elements in Sytex, using the import tool. This feature will save you time when creating fiber optic boxes, traces, links, and other network elements in large numbers. Let's get started!

¿ How do we do it ?

Step 1: Access the import tool
Look for the top bar and there you will find a plus sign (+), which represents an additional tool. Click on it and you will see several options. Select the import tool.

Step 2: Select the type of object (network element) and complete the form
Within the import tool, you will be presented with a number of options. Find and select "Network Element" as the type of object you want to import.
A data table will be generated with the corresponding Network Element columns so that you can enter the corresponding information. Make sure you fill in at least the following mandatory columns: "Code" and "Type of network element". These columns are required for each network element that you want to create or edit.

If you leave the "Code" column empty, Sytex will automatically generate a code for the network element.

If you want to edit an existing network element, simply enter its code in the corresponding row and provide only the data you want to modify in the respective cells.

Step 3: Import the data
Once you have filled in the data template with the necessary information, you are ready to import the network elements. Click the import button. The tool will process the data and perform the action.

NOTE: The accepted format for coordinates must be decimal, separated by "," between latitude and longitude, separated by ";" between coordinate 1, coordinate 2 and others.

Step 4: Check the import results
After the import, it is important to verify the results. Look at the rows in the data sheet: if they are highlighted in green, it means that the network elements were imported successfully.
However, if a row is highlighted in yellow, it indicates an error in the data. Hover your mouse over the cell highlighted in red to get more information about the specific error you need to fix.

And that's it! You can now create or bulk edit network elements in Sytex using the import tool.
